Smart Waste Management Using IoT and Artificial IntelligenceRapid urbanization and population growth have significantly increased the amount of municipal solid waste generated worldwide. Traditional waste collection methods rely on fixed schedules and manual monitoring, which often result in overflowing bins, unnecessary collection trips, increased operational costs, and environmental pollution. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a Smart Waste Management System that integrates the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve waste collection efficiency and promote sustainable urban developmentThe proposed system employs ultrasonic sensors to measure waste levels, gas sensors to detect harmful gases, and GPS modules to track the location of waste bins. Sensor data is transmitted to a cloud platform through Wi-Fi communication, where AI-based predictive analytics estimate the optimal collection time and generate efficient waste collection routes. A web dashboard enables municipal authorities to monitor bin status in real time and make informed decisions.The proposed solution reduces fuel consumption, minimizes operational costs, prevents bin overflow, and contributes to cleaner cities by enabling data-driven waste management.
