Cloud-based data backup and recovery systems have become essential for ensuring business continuity and protecting critical digital assets. Traditional backup approaches often suffer from limited scalability, slow recovery processes, and high infrastructure costs. Cloud-based solutions overcome these limitations by providing automated, secure, and geographically distributed backup services. This review analyses recent advancements in cloud backup architectures, recovery frameworks, and security mechanisms. Various techniques, including Seed Block Algorithm (SBA), Parity Cloud Service (PCS), and High Security Distribution and Rake Technology (HS-DRT), are examined based on recovery efficiency, storage utilization, and security. The study concludes that cloud-based backup systems provide a scalable, cost-effective, and reliable solution for modern data protection and disaster recovery.
